A remarkably versatile deep-water jigging rod, this powerful rod's 7’4” length delivers increased tip speed, longer casts and more positive hook sets. It works extremely well for Carolina-rigged worms, pitching jigs in close or even light-duty flipping. If weeds are the dominant cover in your lake, you will appreciate the magnum power of the MBR 744  for pulling big bass out of the thick stuff. Anglers heading for South America really like this rod for peacock bass and other oversized exotics. Its saltwater uses are fairly limited, but anglers chucking lures for big snook, redfish or small tarpon will find it more than sufficient. Freshwater stripers, northerns, muskies, and even salmon can be taken with this rod, but mainly it is a serious big bass tool.

Just when you think you’ve got everything covered, somebody invents a new technique or revives an old one. In this case, it is a little bit of both. Caroline-rigged plastic worms require a bit longer rod to handle the long leaders associated with the technique, while deep-water jig fishing is much easier with a long rod because it increases the leverage during the hook set and moves more line. The 723 is excellent for both applications. Not to mention the new oversized crankbaits that anglers have incorporated to reach deep ridges and mid-lake humps. While you want a lighter tip to allow the plug to wobble enticingly, you also want a little extra backbone to handle the larger baits like the ⅝ ounce Fat Free Shad or the big Bombers. It is a matter of leverage, and this rod makes the job a lot easier.

If you fish large surface lures and medium-size crankbaits, you will want a CBG 714. It is a great rod for deep-diving lures like a Fat Free Shad or Wiggle Wart, and it’ll throw a Rattle Trap the proverbial country mile. Stout enough to handle spinnerbaits and large buzzbaits, this rod also crosses over nicely for most light saltwater flats applications, including reds, bonefish, permit and sea trout. The slower action of our crankbait rods allows anglers fishing shrimp to land the bait very quietly, and that is a definite plus, especially in shallow water where the fish are spooky.

The finesse technique of dropshotting is exceptionally effective for the most finicky fish. This rod was initially intended for the dropshot technique, but has expanded to Ned Rigs, Shaky Heads, Finesse Swimbaits, and Neko Rigs. When light tackle and graceful presentations are the name of the game – our dropshot rods answer the call. The tip of the rod is very light for setting the hook with lightwire hooks and with a couple of quick turns of the reel, the rod takes care of the rest.  The carbon fiber grips allow the angler to “see” underwater for the most subtle, finicky bites – leaving nothing to chance.

No compromises here. This is the muscle rod in the flipping category. It is designed to pull big largemouth out of those heavy weedbeds in Lake Minnetonka, up Minnesota way, or Florida’s Okeechobbee. It is as stout as the 7-power rating suggests, able to move big bass out of the thickest cover, yet it is lighter than you can imagine, providing super sensitivity and allowing the angler to fish all day with little or no fatigue.

This rod’s blank design is unlike any other SJR we make, and it is a lot more powerful than its rating sounds. Its unique design features a soft, flexible tip for tossing both bait and lures, but the magnum butt-section is very powerful, giving you total control. This rod is perfect for throwing jigs in situations with heavy current.

When you fish for big bass in heavy cover, you need a rod that can move them out of the brush before they get all wrapped up. That is where this rod really shines. Heavy line, thick brush, big jigs and short tempered largemouths are what this rod is all about. If you live where big stripers and hybrids chase bait, you will also be a real fan of the MBR 735. Naturally, a rod this powerful can easily be used in light saltwater, say for tarpon or cobia, but it is designed primarily for heavy cover, leadhead jigs, and oversize bucketmouths.

This is a powerful rod for a variety of fly situations. Excellent for trout where streamers and sinking lines are used, it is also a good start-up size for bonefish in light wind conditions. What’s more, it’ll handle smallmouth bass and other warmwater fish that require streamer flies and popping bugs.

$495.00

The 9-foot 8wt is a versatile, medium-heavy outfit suited to larger flies and floating or sinking lines. It is the number one choice among saltwater anglers for flats fishing, as it is capable of handling the predominant flies used in that environment.

$495.00

Here’s a truly great rod for heavy-duty freshwater applications and light-duty saltwater use. It casts like a bullet in the wind and has the power to handle all salmon species. It is the rod of choice for flats fishing when the wind comes up, and it will pull a big redfish back to the boat in a heartbeat. Bass fly fishermen love this model because it has the power to handle the large, bulky deer hair flies and poppers so popular for taking big largemouth out of lily pads and heavy cover. When the river gets a freshet and waters rise, the steelheader turns to the #9 for heavier lines and larger flies. It is a great all-around big fish rod.

$495.00

Our 9-foot 10-weight is the second most popular choice among saltwater anglers. This rod is designed to handle big streamer flies, size 2 and above, and it is capable of pushing bigger flies at fairly reasonable distances. Also good for weighted flies and heavily weighted sinking fly lines, it comes with a large diameter fighting butt for cushioning when playing bigger fish. This is also an excellent light-duty tarpon rod. After all, they are not all 100-pounders.

Our 9-foot 11-weight is the second most popular choice among saltwater anglers.

$495.00

The 9-foot 12-weight is your all around best choice for tarpon of 60 pounds or more. This rod is designed to cast and present flies with power and precision. Because it loads into the middle of the rod a bit, it is definitely what you’d call a “caster’s rod.” This rod is designed to put the brakes on fish like Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, and GT’s. Precise for both short casts and distance casting when you see them patrolling the flats.

$495.00

This rod is long enough for small to medium-size streams where casts of up to 40 feet may be required. It is a delicate rod, perfect for little spring creeks. Besides being incredibly light, this rod features a very light tip that excels when paired with the ultralight tippets required on spring creeks.

$495.00

The 8 ½ foot 4-weight is a versatile, small to medium stream rod, capable of handling everything from smaller dries to small streamers. This rod offers a little extra power, less weight and a very delicate tip, making it an excellent choice for those light tippets.

$495.00

This is the bread and butter trout rod for most anglers. A great choice for all-around versatility and performance. This is the lightest, finest casting 9-foot 5-weight in the industry, as determined by more than a few shootouts, comparison tests and university studies.

$495.00

Years ago, a 9-foot 6-weight was the standard for western trout anglers. As rod materials have improved and rods have become lighters and stronger, the #6 has taken a back seat to the 5-weight. It is now the “in between” size for the transition from trout fishing to warmwater species. Capable of remarkably long casts, this rod also has the ability to make delicate presentations - especially in windy conditions where a #5 can't quite handle it. This is a good streamer rod, and it admirably casts the oversized, wind-resistant poppers, stoneflies and hoppers that are so popular on the larger streams of the high desert. It is also an excellent rod for ultralight saltwater applications on the flats, going after bonefish and small mangrove snapper.

$495.00

This rod model is what we call the saltwater version. Equipped with a fighting butt its action is extra-extra-fast to help punch through the wind when you are fishing the surf or the flats. Powerful enough to handle bonefish. Perfect for speckled trout, snook, and juvenile permit. The saltwater models focus on accuracy of the cast, reinforced by extra power in the mid-section for distance casting.

If the ultimate salmon trolling rod existed it would want to grow up and become a 360 Pro. Decades of rod design, manufacturing, and professional guiding went into the design of these rods. A perfect hybrid, with a tip that loads deep and recovers slowly to not interfere with the action of the lure. Are you using a flasher? No problem. Diver and bait? No problem.  Kwik Fish, plugs? No problem. 360 Pro because it is an all around workhorse that is preferred by the pros (and their clients!) These rods feature extended fore-grips to not allow the blank to rest on the rod holder, a double locking stainless seat, and guides that are ceramic free (we opted for a pressed hardened metal instead) so that there is no chance of losing an insert. Perfect for the great lakes, trolling in bays, and our home river the mighty Columbia.  These rods are powerful to control oversize sturgeon and make quick work out of spring chinook! This seven model family provides rods from light to heavy lead weights, with a length spread from 9’2 to 12’6 for those running multiple rods in their boats.
