- Linen/Flax is a natural hollow fiber
- The resulting action is very similar to fiberglass, but with a very quick dampening/recovery akin to carbon fiber
- It has a beautiful woody look and texture but due to the hollow nature of the blank is incredibly lightweight
- Flax is incredibly durable, the best description is a hybrid between glass and carbon fiber – it is not afraid of high sticking
- Flax fiber does have some memory – if you overstress the sections, it will remain slightly bent and can be straightened back, or left alone for a period to recover (similar to bamboo)

Our 9-foot 10-weight is the second most popular choice among saltwater anglers. This rod is designed to handle big streamer flies, size 2 and above, and it is capable of pushing bigger flies at fairly reasonable distances. Also good for weighted flies and heavily weighted sinking fly lines, it comes with a large diameter fighting butt for cushioning when playing bigger fish. This is also an excellent light-duty tarpon rod. After all, they are not all 100-pounders.
