This rod model is what we call the saltwater version. Equipped with a fighting butt its action is extra-extra-fast to help punch through the wind when you are fishing the surf or the flats. Powerful enough to handle bonefish. Perfect for speckled trout, snook, and juvenile permit. The saltwater models focus on accuracy of the cast, reinforced by extra power in the mid-section for distance casting.

- Linen/Flax is a natural hollow fiber
- The resulting action is very similar to fiberglass, but with a very quick dampening/recovery akin to carbon fiber
- It has a beautiful woody look and texture but due to the hollow nature of the blank is incredibly lightweight
- Flax is incredibly durable, the best description is a hybrid between glass and carbon fiber - it is not afraid of high sticking
- Flax fiber does have some memory - if you overstress the sections, it will remain slightly bent and can be straightened back, or left alone for a period to recover (similar to bamboo)
