A delightfully powerful 7’11” one-piece rod for light-duty surf and breaker fishing. It is the perfect rod for summer and fall surf action for school bass, small blues and weakfish, but don’t let the light-duty part fool you. It handles light metal exceptionally well and has more than enough power in the butt-section to handle larger fish. It is an impressive rod with a nice, crisp tip, capable of tossing ½ to 1 ½ ounce lures out of sight, and you will have no problem pulling fish out of the wash and onto the beach.

The ISR 706 is a nice choice for pitching small iron or live bait to small tuna, yellowtail or calico bass if you’re a West Coast angler.
