An ultralight trolling rod for trout and kokanee, the KDR 760 is designed to fish small lures or bait with a downrigger system. More to the point, it is designed to help you enjoy catching these small fish again. Because you can use the trolling rigs like the “Flash-lite” trolls, which have very little drag and very little weight, even 10-inchers will give your line a tug. If you enjoy catching small stream bass, this also makes a wonderful small spinnerbait and grub rod. Not a lot of backbone, but more than enough for 2-6-pound line.

The StR 1264 is a very specialized steelhead rod designed for float fishing for summer steelhead. It has a medium tip to help protect light leaders and an extra-long handle to balance its 12-foot overall length. A more powerful version of the Gary Loomis plug rod, designed to fish Hot Shots, Wiggle Warts and other deep-diving steelhead lures. This particular rod was developed for big fish areas like Tillamook Bay in Oregon or the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, where you need larger plugs and more lead to be effective. Its fast taper and magnum butt work well for backbouncing bait and it is a real workhorse for stripers and small sturgeon. Able to cast lures of up to a couple ounces and handle up to 5 ounces in a trolling/mooching situation, the rod’s long rear grip and trigger reel seat give you total control.
