Just when you think you’ve got everything covered, somebody invents a new technique or revives an old one. In this case, it is a little bit of both. While you want a lighter tip to allow the plug to wobble enticingly, you also want a little extra backbone to handle the larger baits like the ⅝ ounce Fat Free Shad or the big Bombers. It is a matter of leverage, and this rod makes the job a lot easier.
