    Wonderfully lightweight, this medium-light power surf stick is rated for 15-40-pound line and lures up to 3 ounces. Designed to handle blues, stripers, drum, cobia and other surf species, it excels at throwing cedar plugs, sting silvers and similar baits. Light, sensitive and responsive are the words that best describe this rod, but don't let “light” mislead you. Progressive power throughout the blank allows you to cast a country mile and whip big fish in a hurry. It is also excellent for freshwater applications like long-range casts on tail-races for big stripers, or plunking for salmon and steelhead on the Columbia. The handle is extra long for added casting and fish-fighting leverage.
