The 9-foot 12-weight is your all around best choice for tarpon of 60 pounds or more. This rod is designed to cast and present flies with power and precision. Because it loads into the middle of the rod a bit, it is definitely what you’d call a “caster’s rod.” This rod is designed to put the brakes on fish like Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, and GT’s. Precise for both short casts and distance casting when you see them patrolling the flats.
This rod is long enough for small to medium-size streams where casts of up to 40 feet may be required. It is a delicate rod, perfect for little spring creeks. Besides being incredibly light, this rod features a very light tip that excels when paired with the ultralight tippets required on spring creeks.
Our 9-foot 10-weight is the second most popular choice among saltwater anglers. This rod is designed to handle big streamer flies, size 2 and above, and it is capable of pushing bigger flies at fairly reasonable distances. Also good for weighted flies and heavily weighted sinking fly lines, it comes with a large diameter fighting butt for cushioning when playing bigger fish. The 8 ½ foot 4-weight is a versatile, small to medium stream rod, capable of handling everything from smaller dries to small streamers. This rod offers a little extra power, less weight and a very delicate tip, making it an excellent choice for those light tippets.
